Last year I competed in an Ironman 70.3. Prior to that event I’d competed in numerous triathlons and sportives. I guess you could say that I like being active, whether it’s running, cycling or swimming. In fact, it could any number of outdoor pursuits; I just love being outside and doing something.
Those of you who have competed in a triathlon know very well that organising your kit is an essential skill in itself. Yes you have to swim well, cycle fast and run hard, but those transitions where you’re changing your kit are just as important for losing or gaining valuable seconds.
I’ve been known to lose my race belt, spill the talcum powder, only put on 1 sock and tip over my water bottle during transitions. But now I’ve found KitBrix. The solution to all your transition and kit problems.
The ethos behind KitBirx is to simply reduce the amount of time you spend looking for kit & equipment so you can spend more time training or competing.
Some key points on KitBrix
- KitBrix has a modular design meaning you can connect it to other KitBrix bags to save time in transition and travel.
- The bags are also designed to ‘stand up’ so you can access the contents far easier than otherwise. It also gives you a better visibility of what’s inside the bag so you can reach in and grab it first time.
- It enables you to keep your kit separated. 1 section for swim, 1 for cycle and 1 for run. Or indeed, 1 for a harness & shoes, 1 for metal work and 1 for rope & slings should you be a climber.
- They’re easy to store. Being made of strong, durable materials you can store them anywhere knowing that your kit will be kept safe. I was so impressed with the manufacturing; I am completely confident that these bags are the real deal.
When I was testing these bags out, I simply couldn’t find a fault. It’s not just the fact that they’re entirely functional and work brilliantly for their purpose, but also they look good and are made to an exceptionally high standard.
There is no doubt in my mind that for the remainder of my (amateur) sporting career, I’ll be using KitBrix to keep my kit and equipment organised. Now I just need to get out and lose this ‘dadbod’!
